Default Mounting an amp rack

I've done a search and didn't find too much info. How do you guys mount your vertical amp racks? I've seen one where they just used screws and screwed into the sheet metal. I don't want to do that if I can avoid it. Any other ideas? I have a Soundstream Van Gogh 400.2 and getting the Alphasonik 600W from the sub box group buy and want to try to see if I can fit them in the spare tire area. If not, I will mount them on a vertical amp rack.

The Van Gogh will fit there. The Alpha will not (it will diagonally)

The vertical racks most people just wedge them behind those thin bar things that go along the trunk (the stock plastic trunk lining sits behind it.)

The Alphasonik PMZ1600 is 10 by 6 inches. The spare tire amp rack is 23 by 16. I am getting a custom rack which will fit the alpha and 2 small jl amps for the spare tire area.
