Default People with IPODs, GET IN HERE NOW!

Ok....Ive had my IPOD for a little over 2 years now. I went througha number of headphones, and always thought they all suck. Ive wasted hundreds of dollars on these so called headphones, to no avail. Finally, I am able to pass my experience and discovery to you guys.

Ive always eyed the Etymotic 6i Isolator earphones, but couldn't bring myself to spend $149.99 on headphones. (Mistake #1)

Well, I just got them. And not for $149.99
I got them for an unbelievable price of $89.99

Amazon

If you have a portable music device, you dont know what you have been missing.

First of all, it sounds like you have 2 15" subs, one in each ear. I never knew bass can sound this good from headphones. They also sound like there is a full orchestra in there. The highs are simply UNBELIEVABLE! The Bose noise cancelling DO NOT COMPARE TO THESE.

The sound these things produce is stunning. They are light and comfortable. They seal out 95% of outside noise. I have never heard earphones with good. Do yourselves a favor, and get them. You will be astonished.

We have an Ipod Nano and an Ipod shuffle... around Christmas we splurged on the Shure E2c noise cancelling headphones, got them for around $90... I wasn't very impressed. If these sound as good as you say, im jealous but not about to go spend another $90 on headphones...

Shure E5C... they sound awesome, but at a price... I thought I needed a louder Ipod... with these I can get to 1/2 power... and they sound beautiful.

I might pick up a pair of these for my wife though!

Thanks!

They are MUCH better than the Shure. My friend has the SHUREs, and they are not as good IMHO.

I concur on the Shures. They are craptastic for the price. Sennheiser 280 Pros sound so much better for the money. For earbuds, I'm lusting after Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5Pros. They're more than double but the reivews are amazing.

One note: be careful with headphones labeled "professional". These devices generally put out volume levels that can cause permanent hearing damage. While I love that in speakers (usually means less ditortion at normal levels) it's a tad scary when the drivers are in your ear canal.

Thanks for the heads-up Dave. I listen to my iPod through headphones EVERY day for at least two hours (I commute by train one hour each way.) I have been using the iPod earbuds. They sound OK, but the construction is pretty sad and they are EXTREMELY fragile. I can't count how many sets I have gone through.
