Default Mounting a Laptop

I'm looking to mount my laptop for MS Streets&Trips + GPS + WiFi type stuff in my S, has anyone done a laptop mount for our car? Any solutions out there already?

I was hoping not to have to make one, thanks in advance!

Passenger seat??

Where did you want to have the laptop sit? you would have to make up something custom...

Just install a carputer it would be way easier. Having a laptop in the car would be a total pitn not to mention you'll lose a ton of cabin room, unless your going to have it mount into a docking station and have a remote screen, mouse and keyboard.

mobileplanet.com sells some universal laptop mounts that are mounted to the seat bolts. pretty much removes the area for a passenger though.

have seen somewhere where somebody custom mounted a laptop in the space wher ethe pass airbag is (airbag removed) and had it so it would pop out when needed. i think they had it hooked to an ems so the passenger could tune while driving. not my ideal solution for gps.

I think you'll have to lose the passenger space. I did an install of a swivelling laptop mount in my father's truck. They are nice, just reach over and pull in toward you, turn it any way you wanted. where would you put it? The passenger seat. Maybe you can make something that allows you to switch from the computer mount to the seat easily. That is all I can think of.

I've never seen a laptop, but I've seen integrated computers:
