mounting your radar is NOT better
Was looking for radar reviews just now and come across this article. What do you guys think? Im going to be hardwiring my radar and I didn't want to mount it high on the windshield, but on the very left bottom corner of the windshield where it will be close to look at and aesthetically pleasing to me.

RADAR follows the inverse square law. RADAR will be detected no matter where the detector is mounted as long as there aren't any obstructions between the transmitter and your detector. If RADAR was able to be aimed precisely, then LIDAR would be unnecessary.

As always, consider the source. Do some research on Craig Peterson. Find and use some good resources on coutnermeasures rather than relying solely on this forum site.

Looks like a 9500ci to me (so yes and no, depending on the specific box that you're referring to). Mounting's a bit different for solutions like this.
