Default MP3 adapters

hey all,

i'm new to this website, but am on a few other s2000 boards on the net. Sorry if this info is posted elsewhere on this site. I just got my 05' S this past summer, and am loving it! And this is coming from someone who's last car(s) were a 1999 ford lighting (400+hp), and a 2003 mustang mach 1 dyno'd at 400 hp.

The S never fails to amaze me everytime i go for a drive in it. I'm now starting the modding phase, besides doing some simple engine mods i plan on upgrading the sound system.

I plan on keeping the stock HU, and adding speakers throughout. I was wondering what hardware do i need to be able to play my mp3 player (panasonic) through my stock sound system.

I'm assuming there'll be a hookup that goes and plugs into the Aux jack on the back of the HU? or plug in where the cd changer plugs into the back of the HU? Preferrably do these systems plug in through the earphone jack on my mp3 player?

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Yes, they would plug in to the CD changer port on the back of the head unit. What year S2000 do you have? You will probably need what is referred to as a HON-AUX connector, typically available through LOGJAMELECTRONICS.COM. There are different radios in different year cars.

You will need a PIE interface that will adapt the CD changer input into an RCA input, then you will need a 3.5mm --> RCA adapter (few $ at radioshack). This will allow you to control the mp3 player from the player.
