Default MP3 player that works with side dash controls

Hi everyone,
I just got an S2000 but I would love to put an MP3 player instead of the stock CD-player. (Well, there's a lot of things I'd like to do, but the audio system is priority #1) Does anybody have any recommendation as to which player I should get. I've been hearing things about the Alpine CDA-7894RB. Is this one I should pick up. The thing is, I really really want it to work with the side dash controls. Can anyone give me any info on how to get this set up and what parts I'd need to buy.

Much appreciated,
Sam in San Diego

I can personally attest to Lucid's DCI (dash control interface) with Sony head-units. I've got my second one on order now* - it is directly wired into a connector on the Sony HU that exists for an optional wired remote (all the Sony models I was considering have the wired remote option and thus can work with the Sony DCI). I prefer that type of connection versus an IR type configuration where you run place an emitter in front of the HU. The Lucid Sony DCI mapped all the controls from the S2K dash controls to the radio and even offers automatic speed-sensitive volume adjustment (havent tried that yet - requires more work during the install). It comes with the harness for the S2000 too making installation a snap

Read all about it here

*First one was stolen when my car was broken into and the theives took the radio and the DCI
