MUTE FIX?
Hi all!
I was trying to make the Mute button work through a guide published on the Italian S2K Forum. Unfortunately something went wrong and I fried the MUTE circuit transistor. I guess I accidentally grounded the yellow/blue wire.
From what I've read so far on this Forum a lot of people has had this problem.
The question is... is there a fix??
I've taken apart the dash and opened up the audio control panel.
I'm fairly sure I identified the transistor which is broken (TR3).
Anybody knows if there is a transistor that I can buy aftermarket to make it work again? Even the circuit scheme could be usufull....
I will not do the fix myself but bring to a laboratory that makes this kind of fixes with the appropiate equipment.
Let me know guys... I'm going crazy!!

I think I just did the same thing trying to use the Mute button to work some LED lights. Not really sure how I would have managed to ground the mute wire out though, but the light on it is stuck on now.
Any ideas?
