I checked this out in person and compared it against the Alpine ida-x305s.
Both are very nice. the screen on the MVH blows the alpine away but the knob/buttons on the alpine are much sturdier and feel nicer.
However due to the giant button in the middle of the alpine, i'd rather go with the MVH, looks simpler.

sorry to bring this old thread up, but i was wondering if it will work with the modifry's Wired DCI, and where do you place the microphone? reply will be much appreicated. thanks!

 

modifry should work as long as toggle switch 1 for the 4 switch or 3 for the 8 switch is on. Its the mute feature. and for microphone, i wired mines next to the defrost/cruise control button. the mic facing up and just talk regular. It will pick up fine. I have an alpine but i have installed other bluetooth kits right there. its concealed enough to be un noticeable but get clarity on the other end. reduced wind noise as well unless your blasting your foot wells for AC/Heat.
