My Upcoming Stereo Install---
Hey guys---
I just blew a shit load of money on my stereo install. Plan to have everything by next weekend and spend the weekend doing my first install!
Hopefully my limited experience and all the reading I've done here will get me through it!
Headunit: JVC KD-AVX33 with modifry harness and DCI.
MonoAmp: MTX thunder (already had from my TSX)
Rockford Fostgate Amp wiring kit for the sub amp.
Sub: Alpine 12" Type-R (had from my TSX) In trunk well box bought off of Ebay
Door Speakers: JBL db6500 wired to headunit for now
Ebay Rear Speaker Headrest Mounts, and I'll put the stock speakers in there for now. wired to headunit for now
I also bought 150 sq feet of Elemental Designs eDead v1 (the new version).
I've been reading up on dynamatting on the forums but I'm not getting a clear answer on how to dynamat the trunk lid. Since theres no carpet or anything on there to cover it, how do you guys do it? I'm not sure i like the idea of just having the chrome like finish of the deadening material just shinging away at me everytime i open the trunk.
What if anythign did you guys use to cover it? Is it even necessary to dynamat the trunk lid??
Also, how hard is it gonna be to tear this car apart? I've never really done this but i'm confident I can with the directions here and there on this site. Hope everyone wont mind questions!!!
Thanks and I'll be adding pics/updating this thread as I move through this between now and next weekend.

Search for something like trunk lid liner or something like that and you can find examples. I was originally opposed to lining the trunk lid; however, the trunk lid is closed 99% of the time, so its really not a big deal. Also, I think one of the sponsors, MUZ, makes one you can purchase. Give it a look: its like muzaccessories.com or something. Put a search into google and you will find it.
Necessary to dynamat it? No, unless you dont like rattle, then yes.
Difficulty of tearing car apart? Not too bad. Youve obviously been reading up, so you have that advantage already. Use some common sense and you will work through it. Word of advice, try to keep organized. Keep all the screws and bolts, clips, whatever in the same location of the parts you remove. So, if you remove the door panels, keep all those parts inside the door panel. and if you take out the trunk panels, keep all the push clips together.
Check out my post: My indepth full install(I think thats it). I was a first time installer as well, and I made my way through it.
