Looked for the rear speaker connector on my 2005 that is suppose to be taped to the factory speaker harness. Instructions for the install of the factory rear speaker kit says that it should be just under the instrument panel, driver's side. (Didn't buy this kit but still want to know where the d*mn connector is) I eyeballed the harness and could not find it.

Is it directly behind the HU?

Am I going to have to pull the HU out to locate it?

 

It isn't easy to get to. It is on the driver's side. The easiest way to do it would be to remove the stereo. It's hard to access otherwise. I found it using a flashlight and laying myself in the floor board. I had to remove the somewhat triangular panel on the left of the stereo. in order to see it. I used a long blade knife to cut the tape and then used the knife to move it to where I could get a hold of it. Probably could of used some needle nose pliers...it would have been safer.
