Navi in our stock radio area?
i tried looking it up but all i see is the jdm navi where you have to cut the hole in the dash which i dont want to do. i was wondering if there are any navigation systems or gps that fits in our stock radio area (looking for a indash) or has anyone tried modding the area to fit one? thanks
You'd have to cut the dash for most solutions out there. There are some single DIN, non-flip-out units that would fit the stock location but they're very uncommon and not very popular. The stock radio location just isn't very good for a GPS nav screen since it's so far from the road and cluster IMO.
I dont think you will find and units that will work.
If you want something in the stock location, the closest you'll get is a custom carputer. A user did mold his screen down in that area and it looked good. I have thought about adding my carputer to the S, but just haven't yet. If I do, I want to get the screen on some type of track so I can have it slide into the stock area(and keep the radio door).
Ive got idea's in the brain, just getting them into action is the hard part
