Default Need HELP from Electronic/Wiring Professional

I need to find out how to wire a Zex remote bottle opener?

The unit has two wires. When connected to a 12V source it either open or closes the bottle, when the polarity is reversed it does the opposite.

Now I need help in wiring the unit. What kind of switch is needed? I have seen a few switches where the center is off, and up arrow / is to open the bottle and the down / arrow is used to close the bottle.

Below is a pic of the actual unit at my house and the switch that Zex supplies (circled in red).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You will need a double throw double contact with center off switch. Any electrical store should have them for about $5. or maybe less. I don't know how much current the opener uses but I would not get one of the small switches get a switch that will take about 5 amps or more. As to the wireing I can draw a circuit but it will be hard to send it to you. I'll see what I can do lusing Photoshop or paint later tonight. I have to work around the house today (I played yesterday)

Hi again Simon:
I must have had a senior moment, what I ment was a double pole double through switch. It might be refered to as ON-OFF-ON or as momentary on. I would recommend one with a spring returning it ot the off position when your finger is not on it. BTW what the heck is a Zex for?

yes that is the switch i am looking for. I found one from radio shack but it sticks out like 2 inches. I am looking for a low profile one, maybe a switch for a automotive window.

Any ideas on where to purchases switches online?

That is a bottle opener for my Nitrous.
