I will be installing a Head Unit in '02 Jetta with a premium sound. The question is is there some kind of a built-in amp? If so, do I have to turn that off before I put in HU? And where is it? Any help would be appreciated

 

this is off topic, but how do you like your polk speakers? i was thinking polk but wasn't sure...

Haha, I know. I tried yahoo looking for a Jetta forum like S2KI.com and I guess Jettas don't have such a site... I am supposed to do my friend a favor installing a Head Unit for him but I wasn't sure what to do about the built in amps for the premium sound package... I don't wanna chicken out saying I don't know how to do it... LUCID, you probably know... let me know.
