is it bad to connect MUTE wire from my new HU to the car's harness without the relay??

why do i need relay??

i failed on making the PAC work on my car..
the thing is i bought the wrong PAC, so it willl not work on my kenwood..

no it's not bad , but there isn't a mute wire located in the hondas harness , except through resistors which is why you need the steering wheel control adaptor.
