Need Help picking speakers for my headrest kit
Hello:
I just won the headrest speaker kit on ebay (similar to s pods). This kit can hold up to 6.5" speakers.
I'm not looking for an expensive system, just something that sounds a bit better than the stock system. Honestly, I just wanted to add the headrest speakers and call it a day, but I may be open to replacing the HU. My questions are as follows:
1) Would you purchase 5" or 6.5" speakers for the headrest?
2) If I keep the stock HU, should I purchase speakers with a lower RMS so the HU can drive the speakers?
3)As for the HU, is there a system that fits snugly without any gaps, and that permits the stereo door to close?
Based on the fit of the HU, if I keep the stock HU, I may be better off getting a low power amp.
I just purchased a system for my 2009 dodge ram crew cab pick-up, so my funds are a bit tight. I'd prefer to spend $300-400.
THANKS
PJ
