I'm planning on buying Alpine iDA-X001 as a head unit, is there any subwoofer I can buy that can just use the head unit's internal amp so I don't have to buy another. I'm just looking for a little more thump in my system not extremly banging.

nope. Check the self-powered subs, like the Basslink, etc. I think it can slide under the passenger's side seat.

As far as pushing a sub on the internal HU power, you would never hear it. period.

you also might want to consider a WLAURENT style 8" side enclosure w/ amp.
