Have a head unit in hand now, please help to decide what to do next.
Hi all,
guys please help me to decide what to do.
My situation:
I have a Alpine CDA-7977 head unit in hand right now and want to install it asap in my car.
due to it's a pre-amp unit and my budget constraint, should I:
1. buy a cheap amp and a cheap sub and install it in a cheap store that normally does an half-ass job.
2. buy a decent amp ( the one I have in mind is alpine mrv-f450 (5 channel- i have rear speakers but they are disconnected now coz the sound stage was off), or the f340) no sub yet and installed it in a nice shop.
3. sell the head unit and buy one that has a buit in amplifier
what do you guys think?

Buy a used 4 channel amp from another member. I just picked up a Rockford Fosgate 400a4 amp (668 watts) in great condition for $50. I could not be happier. I've never had a better sounding system than the one in my S.
