^it all depends on how the gain was set.... but most installers do not know how to set gains properly, what a shame....

So I've decided on this bad boy: Link

I hope my amp will drive it nicely, the only misunderstanding I have is that this sub requires 3 ohms, does that mean I need a specific amp? The specs in my manual state it can be ran at certain wattage's in 4 ohm and 2 ohm modes. I assume 3 ohm would just give me a certain wattage in between 4 and 2, correct?

So you want to use an $85 amp to drive a $250 sub ?
And no, that amp can't run in 3ohms when bridged, only in stereo.

Well I'd like to stick with the amp I have now, I'll probably upgrade later on. What would happen if I bridge the two channels and connect it to the sub, would it blow? What would you recommend?
