swapped the subwoofer RCA for the component RCA but still getting the same problem...
im thinking it may be the amp then.
Im going to swap it out for my old amp again, see if the problem occurs with the old amp, then ill report back.

swap my other amp in and it works fine even with car off....i think it may just be the amp.
Im going to take it to get bench tested tomorrow at a professional installer, and find out the details.

got the trusty ol' voltmeter, found out the loss in voltage was occuring just after the fuse near the battery. There was a bad connection with the fuse, so i fabricated some washers.... done. works like a charm. Thanks for all the advice.

good stuff... upgrade your wire when you get a chance , you'll be happy you did.

whast the benefit of thicker wire...more power? Or just better quality sound? The wires im using are pretty decent stuff...atleast it looks nice, but its Bullz audio- dont know if anyone has heard of it

never heard of it... It's ganna help you with current draw to your amps , they'll run cooler plus have a better power output from not having to struggle for power.
