New Car - Excellent (but problems on pick up) SRS & HORN
Guys
Can anyone help me. I imported my car and took delivery yesterday from Norwich. When I was half way back to Southampton I realised that the Horn was not working. I have also (after reading the manual this morning) realised that the SRS light is on all the time. I spoke with the import agent who told me to take it to HONDA and if they was any charge for the work he will pick up the cost. Understandably this has pissed me off a little. An alarm and tracker was fitted on delivery and I suspect that the guy who installed these items must have forgotten something possibly not replaced a fuse or something. Can anyone help me ? What circuit does the horn run off. Maybe I should quickly check the fuses etc. before sending the car in to the dealer. It's taken the shine off of the experience though!!!

The horn is on the same circuit as the brake lights, so stomp on the brakes when you're backed up to a wall and see if your ass glows
No reason that I know of for an alarm install to trip the SRS light, but it can be reset (assuming there are no problems). Some systems require a resistor placed across two terminals to reset, but I'm not sure what it is for the S. Without knowing, my first inclination would be to reset the car's EMS by yanking its fuse, waiting 15 seconds, then reinstalling (see the online FAQs for which fuse to pull). If the SRS doesn't come on over the next few miles, you're golden.

Thanks
Brake lights are ok so I guess there must be a dodgy connection to the horn switch itself or the horn is knackered or the solenoid is. As for the SRS, I'll try resetting the EMS and see what happens. I'll let you know.
