Talking New Deck

I've swapped a deck before in my other car, but it's a little bit more challenging now that I have to get a DCI, and have a deck with proper specifications to close the S2000 radio door.

I'm looking at this deck: click

I really love the styling, bluetooth, and ipod capabilities. Would this work in the S2000 no problem as long as I wire a Kenwood DCI from Modifry? Is the size okay?

Thank you all!

I'm not sure if it's available for you, but I used a modifry plug-n-play harness with my Alpine deck and it made it so I didn't have to connect or solder any wires... seriously just plug and play.

I also ordered it on a Friday and got it on the next Monday - 2 thumbs up for Modifry!!!

FWIW Crutchfield says it will fit.

I think Modifry's DCI will work with that one as well, so you should be good to go.

Well I bit the bullet and bought the Kenwood BT838U, it's exactly the same as I posted above except it has built-in Bluetooth. I'm HOPING Modifry's Kenwood will support this!

I don't think there is no plug and play harness with DCI from Modfifry for anything except Alpines. you can, however, use a standard wiring harness and install the DCI per the instructions. It's not overly difficult. If you're comfortable installing a deck, you're comfortable installing a DCI.

What's the difference between plug-and-play and a standard wiring harness? Do I have to wire/soulder things myself?

With the standard you do, with the plug and play you don't. But apparently the PNP is for Alpine only.

I've got the equipment, I just don't want to screw up. Do Modifry's products come with soldering instructions? Also, I'm assuming I'll need the WIRED Kenwood DCI from Modifry, correct?

(Sorry for all the questions, I really don't want to mess up)

I don't understand why people never look at product web sites...
http://www.modifry.com/products/dci/...patibility.htm

I'd definitely recommend going the Alpine route. It's definitely stoopid easy with the PNP harness.
