New Radio Recommendations - 2002 S2000
I have a 2002 S2000. Current radio set up is original and I want to change out to a better radio, blue tooth, USB, etc. Any recommendations? Want to keep close to original look as possible.
Any modern single din head unit. A digital media receiver. No CD. Built in streaming from your phone via Bluetooth. Smaller frame depth wise. Like less than half.
It will install seamlessly. Remove 4 bolts, slide old hu out. Move brackets from old hu to new, boot new one in place. Obviously unplug opd one, plug in new one, and some trim has to be removed to get to the bolts.
Still able to close radio door. Most are able to set display colors, so you can match stock dash, etc.
Buy from crutchfield.com. They'll sell you a harness to make it all plug and play.
Consider upgrading speakers too.

I was looking at the same things with mine years ago.
As Car Analogy opined, Crutchfield is great for knowing which unit fit into the very small space we have. I went for a 40w Sony to power things up. Stream from my mobile, Pandora, Spotify, etc, with the radio door closed. I got color changing display to match the cars lighting.
I also went to Modifry and got his plug and play wiring harness and S2000 dash interface. He does stuff just for the S2000 and is better working than the harnesses from Crutchfield. Get the Posi Lock butt connectors.
I installed some insulation in the doors and it made a huge difference in the sound from stock speakers. Mine is an 09.

As long as the modesty door closes any aftermarket radio looks "original." And most (some?) can be wired into the left dash controls so you never have to open that door and get distracting lights at night.
I usually forget there's a radio in the car. Last time I used it the presets were all for the city 500 miles away that I lived in 5 years ago and still are-- probably didn't use it much there either so a "better" radio would be money I could have spent on something useful. I use the radio in my other cars though, just not in this one.

I have recently bought a 2004 model here in the UK and want to know if its possible to change the factory fitted radio/cd player with a modern FM/DAB radio with a USB socket so I can play my music list from a stick and tune into all the DAB stations I listen to. Any advice would be welcome.
Nothing special here. If the radio will fit it will work. All the car provides is 12vDC power and the antenna. The auxiliary controls next to the steering wheel can often be made to work (may take a kit) and closing the modesty door can be blocked with knobs sticking out -- but the radio will work as long as it has power and an antenna.
