New Stereo or Replace Faceplate? Damn Thief!
Hi guys. well after coming home after vacation, someone decided to break into my garage and stole my faceplate to my kenwood kdc-mp642u. They didn't even attempt to steal the entire stereo which is good cause they could have caused more damaged. Anyways, i'm debating on either replacing the faceplate (which i found for 90 dollars) or replace the entire unit.
The stereo only cost like 200 bucks. I'm content with it as I use it to play FM and my iphone.
I guess if I go with another stereo it would be kenwood so I can use the same wiring. Should I fork out for a new one or stay with the same one? Hate tossing money out the window. Suggestion

You should do whatever best fits your priorities -- which you have omitted. Your question doesn't have a one-size-fits-all answer. Is $90 above or below where you'd draw the line?
If you were happy with the old unit, just get a replacement faceplate and you're back in business. How did the thief get access to your car? Was the top up? Did you have an alarm with two-way paging? Did you have an alarm on the garage? How can you improve the physical security of the garage?
