I think I have narrowed down my decision. I am going to build the box myself out of MDF. I am going to fill up the tool well flush with the rest of the trunk.

Which sub would work better in that kind of space; the 10"JLW7, or the 12" Eclipse Titanium? Which sub will have higher SPL, and generally beat harder?

eclipse doesn't have enough airspace for that... w7 10 will be perfect... i'd fiberglass it tho to get better fill of the space you've got to work with.

Awesome!

Fiberglass=scared. Never done it before, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

400 for the sub
400 for the amp

What else will I need and for how much.

How can I purchase form you? What are shipping options?

I plan to purchase the Alpine CDA-9885.

What am I going to need to install it?

I have a Creative Zen and would like to connect it to the deck. What will I need to do this?

where are you located by chance?? All you need is a wiring harness for the radio itself... power rca's ect... for amps if the radio has an AUX input all you need is rca to headphone

Iraq for now.

Will be in Illinois in December.

Hawaii in November and after December.

What harness will I need? I don't want to order the wrong part. I am guessing I will need RCA's to a 3.5mm connection.

you should bring the car when you get back for the month your in hawaii to my shop and do some work to it. Wiring harness depends on the manufacture... but the Metra part number is a 1721 you can order it from circuit city , crutchfield , best buy ect...
