Very interesting! I wonder how long it will be until other manufacturers follow suit... That design would suit be a lot better than the existing MP3 CD route (I find downloading and burning tracks to be a PITA these days )

I'm thinking of getting an Apple iPod (5 GByte HD MP3 player with FireWire) and a head unit that has an aux input. Much easier to synchronize with my desktop music collection...

With a price tag of $2,100?! Awesome idea, but no thanks.

I already have a Nomad Jukebox (upgraded to 20GB). I'm planning on just upgrading the head unit to one with an AUX input - music I can take with me wherever I go.... Seems the simplest solution.

I think that would be a decent idea if you could see the lcd while driving without holding it up to your face...

I usually get around that by just queueing up enough music to last me the entire trip (with 20GB, I could queue up enough to last 2 weeks or more of continuous music without a repeat). The 15 minute drive home is easy..... I just have to be able to hit pause/play by touch....
