I love everything except the red ground wire inside the car. IMHO, not an ideal place for a ground.

Do you mean the red ground in this pic. It is one I had and since you will not see it I used it

I thought the seat bolt would be a good ground for the JVC under seat sub

I used a seat bolt on the other side too, for the Boston GT-20 Amp

The ground is working well but, if there is an issue please let me know

Quick question. May be unrelated but.....

The JVC headunit like yours, but with the Navigation feature, is the screen the same size?

Yes, There is a thread here with pics of one installed. It maybe in a bad place for a navi though. DVD viewing is not bad but, trying to read a map might be a bit to out of the way.

Awesome install! I'm very jealous! If I hadn't just upgraded the HU this Winter, I would have done the same!

I would at least run the wire under the carpet from the amp to the bolt... This will at least ensure that a sliding seat will not grab the wire (or something under the seat that is sliding with the seat).

As far as the positioning goes, as long as there is no better ground within a reasonable run (and i think there are a few at least in the center console), I dont see an immediate issue with it... You are well insulated in the seat in case of a short...

And why did you stick the crossovers on the inside of the cabin? I am assuming aesthetics? I would also shove those speaker wires under the carpet as well..... You ran all the RCA's and power wires nice, why stop there?

Am I worthy of now adding the Electronics Junkie badge
You get my thumbs up just for the gated shifter! (even if it has nothing to do with electronics!)

The wiring is exposed till the sub gets here. I will hide every thing then right now it will be easy to find and hook up. All wires but, the ground are ran under the carpet I just left them long so I could get to them on the final part of the install. I hid most everything (crossovers and amps) to make for a clean near factory look. I do not show the car for the most part, I do the weekend meets and I did H.I.N. last year.
The DVD is for my wife because, she gets board (not into the car thing) at meets
I still have to tune the amps but, I have the seats back in I took the car out for a drive after sitting for 3 weeks. She started a bit rough (did not want to stay running) so I did a MAP wack and drove the car for about 10 miles or so till she ran like new again, then put her back away to work on the intake some more.
Thanks for the kudos on the shifter, it is my most enjoyable mod, it

I think I meant to say distribution block.... That silver wire on the rear wall of the passenger's compartment. I assumed it was an crossover, but now that i look a bit closer, it is being wired into the power area of the amp (next to the ground).

Dont forget the ground on the amp as well (not just the sub one) for hiding.
