Default OBD2 cable running through dash

Hi, my question is since i have a 2006 (ap2) my OBD2 port is near the driver side leg-well. i wanted to hook up a scan gauge 2 into my S. the only thing is that i have to connect the provided wire to the OBD2 port and into the scangauge. i dont want wires running all around my car, i want to have the wires not exposed if possible. my plan is to run the wire through the dash but im not sure if the wire is thin enough to get through, also if thin enough can the wire get to the port? do you think there is another way to put the wire from the port to the unit? any info or suggestions will be appreciated
thanks in advance!

This is the mount:

(the space to run the wire through)

You can't do it the way you have it pictured. You need to run it through the passenger knee access panel, through the dash (behind the radio) and into the OBDII port.
