OBD2 Scantool Needed
Is there a particular reason you need stand alone? I have this:

It's pretty good. I have the PC version, which I just plug into my laptop. They also have a PALM based system for use with anything that runs on the Palm OS.

I also use the AutoEnginuity ScanTool and am happy with it overall. I looked at most of the other PC based scantools available. Although it appears to be one of the more expensive scantools ($250), most of the "cheaper" systems require additional adapters and/or fee based software updates that increase the costs to the same or higher level for the same functionality.

Plus the guy provides lots of code assistance if you want to program your own application. I made a simple program that allows you to datalog any combination of sensors on a laptop and made a simple version to run from a PDA
