Default OEM cd player blackout?

So, I just recently picked up an 04S2k with 60k miles. Stock everything. Anyhow, when I had bought it, i assumed everything was fine. Every now and then, when my heater is at full blast and my audio(cd) is playing with the volume quite high, the unit seems to completely loose its power, to where the audio code must be put in. Has anyone experienced this and have any input on it? I know it's probably not normal and the only way that i've found to resolve the matter after shutting down, is disconnecting the negative from the battery and reconnecting once again. What should I check for or do? Thanks in advance.

I'd say you could try running a direct (but fused) power line from the battery to the deck directly and see if you still encounter this problem. Pick a decent gauge of wiring though.
