Default OEM headunit + amp possible?

I read in the FAQ's that it's possible but how? Does the OEM unit have rca jacks? I'm assuming not because i've never come across a OEM unit that does have rca outputs. Or can it be wired another way? If so how? I know that the OEM unit is crap and will most likely not give me the sound i want so what i'm doing here is only temporary till i get a better HU. I'm not looking for an amazing sound just something loud enough to hear with the top down along with a decent amount of clarity. I have 1 pair of Alpine Type S speakers from my old car that will fit the in the door and a pair of Type R 5.25 components that i plan on putting in the rear panel along with a Rockford Fosgate amp. I might put a sub in later i'm not sure yet.

Sorry for the newbie ?'s but the search is down and i've been rumaging through the electronics forum for a little more than an hour now and can't find an answer.

You'll need a Line Output Converter. Which you connect to the speaker outputs of your oem headunit. Then the RCA's to the amp from the line output converter.

Yes, it's true you can. I did it but it sounded cool for the time being.
But once I got a aftermarket deck the sounds just came in so much clearer. Even with aftermarket speakers it did not sound as good as compared with now.
