OEM keyless entry
i bought a 2000 s2k recently and the used dealer i got it from didnt have the keyless remotes, they only had keys and from what ive heard all s2ks have the keyless option from the factory. TRUE? plus i believe my car has the factory alarm on it cause i believe that the dealer mounts them under the seat and i looked today and seen a little black box mounted to the bottom of my seat with wires running in and out of it. but my question is if you guys think the factory alarm is any good or should i just get a aftermarket one wired up. if i go aftermarket which alarms do you guys suggest? i am planing on stopping by my local honda dealer and seeing how much the alarm remotes are but if you guys convince me to go aftermarket then im not even gonna bother with the dealer. plus does anyone know roughly how much a remote would cost from a dealer?

In this case, just go aftermarket....
Most installers would be able to run both the aftermarket alarm and the stock alarm with the aftermarket remote.
For aftermarket alarm, it depends on what between you and your car most of the time. If there aren't many obstacles, eletrical interference, and you aren't that far from the car most of the time, go with a two way paging alarm. Otherwise, go with a one way with strong security features like Clifford G5.
