im going to bite the bullet and get a new HU for my 01 s2k as the boston acoustics speakers that i have r not cutting it anymore.
my question is, can the oem stacker be kept or do i have to get another stacker when i get a new HU.
i like some of the installs that people have done, especially the tweeters in the pillars, and the rear speakers in the boot. looks really nice

 

YES!!! a new HU will change everything. on this side of the pond we don't know what a stacker is, at least i don't. ARE you referring to a cd changer?

if so, i don't think you can run an OEM changer with an aftermarket hu, at least i don't know of an adapter that will do this.

 

yes, a cd stacker is a cd changer

 

i would assume it would still work...most aftermarket HU's have auxilary inputs, and I think that is where you plug in a CD changer/stacker.

I do not know that one....sorry...I dont know how the Honda CD changer is hooked up stock.


Weather is shitty....havent seen the sun for most of the day. Periods of HEAVY rain and gusty winds (40mph). Snapped a few trees in town, but that is it. I will probably be getting worse as the night goes on. I just hope it does not turn north!
