OEM Stereo ... HELP
Anyone know of a way to reset the stereo or bypass the security code? I can't get past it and I bought the s2k used and it didn't come with the security code. I guess I could take it to the dealer and they would look at the serial number and call honda for the code ... what a pain in the ass. If you guys know of any other ways, let me know.
I am sure if you call your local dealer they can look it up on the computer and give it to you over the phone. When I picked my car up they didn't give me the tag with my key code. When I asked about it they looked it up on the computer and were able to find it. The radio should code should be associated with the VIN.
Good luck

On the oem radio there will be a sticker with some sets of numbers on it. The dealer will need one of those to give you the code. We pull the radio out and call a dealer friend of ours who gives us the freebie hookup. I believe the dealer will charge you around 30 bucks for it. If you do all of the leg work they might be cool about it and help you out. They might be able to do it with the vin but I dont think so. Other than that, there is no other way.
Using the VIN any dealer should be able to find out where the car was originally sold. The original dealership SHOULD have a record of this secret code. Same thing happended to me when I bought my used Integra and that is how I avoided having to remove the stereo for a look at the label.
