Old stock speakers for the Lucid mod?
Just an update:
A few months ago, my Sony speakers that I put into the doors started to "crackle". I replaced them with some JVC 4-ways. But guess what?
The old OEM door speakers that I put into the rear panels are STILL GOING STRONG and they work more than adequately for my tastes.

I though I was the only crazy person that doesn't care for Sony CAR SPEAKERS. (on a side note, I love Sony tvs, receivers, dvd players, vcrs....)
when i first installed my rear speakers, i used the Honda OEM front speakers. they are ok. the bass was ok, but the highs are not crisp enough especially being behind the back seats. i then changed to polk 5.25" speakers with steerable tweeters. i lost some bass, but the highs improved quite a bit. for now i have OEM HU with infinity three ways in the front and polk two ways in the rear. total cost for me was no more than two hundred bucks. personally, i think most 4" rear speakers are waste of money because they dont generate significant bass and the highs are muffled in the rear. my 2 cents.
