My girlfriend has had it with me, and asked me if I can set the alarm to open both doors at once when I disable it. I just keep forgetting to press it twice. I search the manaul but with no luck, any of you expert out there can point me to a cheap solution??

Most new cars that my friends have do the same thing. I don't know of a way around it. It's really annoying though, I have the same problem as you.

After market alarm will do that. Do you know how much of a pain it is to hook up priority driver door unlock!

It is a very controvercial issue. Either people love it or F-ING HATE IT WITH A PASSION. There are almost none who are in the middle.

I installed my aftermarket alarm sooner than I planned just to get rid of that "safety feature"... 3 weeks with my new Ford Focus and I have had enough of that too! Aftermarket alarm ASAP!

Damn!!!Aren't you guys lazy? Like you said, it is a safety feature. Think about this scenario, your wife or you work late at night or whatever, after once press on the alarm, both doors are open, after you got into the car on the driver side, some punk also got into the car from the passenger side, maybe it's little too late for you to pull out your magnum!!!So I think it is such a great safety feature...
