Default Opinions/Info needed

What do you guys think of these speakers? I currently have Refrences in but they don't realy provide much bass and the sound goes to crap halfway through the volume range. I am not planning on using an amp or anything, (Im not plannin on bumpin or rattling the car apart) I just want my music to sound good. I would appreciate any info or opinions you guys have on these before I buy them.

Thanks

-Jason

What head unit are you using? I have the References as well, and with an amp they work just fine for me.......I do have MB Quarts for the highs though.

I don't think there are going to be many speakers out there that are going to make that much of a difference off the OEM head unit

You'd have to upgrade it or get an amp to start hearing things the way you want. Maybe an EQ?

Maybe some of the others feel this particular topic has been answered numerous times in the past.....

That topic being - "What will make my OEM Head Unit louder/sound better".

The answer being: you have to increase the power.

Yes, you wont get anything with the stock headunit. The lack of bass isnt because of the speakers, its that your headunit cant provide the power.

THe muddy sound isnt the speakers, its the headunit getting distorted.

THere is no way around it, you need a good headunit.
