Optima is dead, so whats the replacement?

Since optima doesn't make our applications anymore, thats the replacement that you guys recommend?

Where to buy and pricing.

High CCA is good

toss in an optima group34/78. fits with very minimal mods. i had to bend the stock threaded rods a bit at the bottom, and pick up a new hold down strap from pepboys. bat has 870ca

The terminals are reversed so you are going to need a longer ground cable.

I know that its the Optima 51 series that is the direct replacement. I got one at Autozone about a month or so ago, but they told me that it was their last one, and that Optima is not making the 51 series anymore.... That that for what you will... Autozone employees in my area are almost "special" sometimes...

I would image any of their batteries with dimensions similar would work.... Dont need a direct replacement as the battery is held to the pan by that locking bar...
