Default Ordered kapa perfect components, harness help needed

Ok now I have the 500/1 300/2 and the kappa perfect 6.1's ( shipping in process) I am working on the 12w6v2. Now after I have all this to connect them to CDA-9811, what kind of harnesses do I need. I mean everything, like those amp kits they sell. I just dont know which one to get. I need cables and hanreses from deck to 2 amps and from one amp to 2 infinitys from the opther amp to the sub. and power-battery as I said before. Any kits or part numbers for kits that you guys can suggest?

ack.

alright -- looks like you're going to need
  • 2 runs of stereo RCA's
  • a 4 gauge wire run to the trunk w/ a fused distribution block and 8 guage runs to the amps. (75 amp fuse at battery, and 30 amp fuses at the dist. block)(via info from this link, and assuming that the 500/1 is a D class amp)
  • ~ 10' of 12 gauge speaker wire for the sub
  • Lucid's DCI for dash controls and the S2000 harness that comes w/ it
  • ~ 50' of 16 gauge speaker wire for your run to the front speakers
  • and all the appropriate fuses.

i'm going to assume you're looking for at least a 'little' bling, and not wanting an industrial look... so, i'll be looking at amp kits w/ some cool goodies that come inside.
for all of these kits -- search all the usual online cheap marts... sounddomain.com will usually pricematch them.

possible power kits:
i like these two kits b/c they offer a distr. block for the ground as well.
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/LITPK4DY
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/LITSXPK4D

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PHOTSX4402

i don't favor these -- they doesn't appear to fuse at the distr. block:
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STRPS04B
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STRPS04R

interconnects (you need a total of 4 channels or 2 stereo sets) :
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/LITLSIX6 (2 of)
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/LITLSIX36 (2 of)
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/LITLSIX64 (1 of)

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PHOARX660 (2 of)
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/PHOARX750TLN (2 of)

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCCPDT600 (2 of)

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STISHX20 (2 of)

http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STRZN260 (2 of)
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/STRZN2604 (1 of)

all in one (or close to it) kits:
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCCP4DCKR
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ROCCP4DCKS

personally - i used the Lighting Audio wiring kit and had it pricematched to below $60. and i have used Streetwires in the past. i'd favor the Phoenix Gold interconnects now though, just due to their design...

oh... i just realized i never clarified speaker wire... just go to Walmart, CC, BB, or your local dealer and buy bulk 16 ga and a run of 12 ga for cheap... that's really all that's necessary in this case.

What Phil said....plus.....

For your harness......go to Circuit City or Best Buy and get an Alpine Honda 1998 and up....make sure its 1998 and up....NOTHING ELSE!!

Next, a great place for cheap quality wire, www.Knukonceptz.com

The have everything......great RCA's, great speaker wire...(very well shielded.)
Distribution blocks, power/ground wire...etc....

The cheapest way around this....(I did it) get 2 amplifier install kits.
That will give you plenty of speaker wire, 2 pairs of RCAs, 8awg wire, 4 awg wire (get a 4 gauge and an 8 gauge kit) And you will be set. THe kits like this on crutchfield or whatever are double the price AT LEAST.

i have run 2 kits in the past as well... it works fine, but i'm fond of the distribution block fusing option... the more fuses, the merrier.

and yes, Crutchfield, CC, BB, etc will be 2x's the price. you can probably find this same stuff for 2/3's what sound domain is asking if you hit the low cost sites online... sounddomain will generally price match them...

there are HUGE amounts of markup in wiring...

btw -- about the harness... if you're buying a Lucid's DCI -- a S2000 harness will be included. (at least it was in mine)

basically you need this Andy...

you need to get something that allows the HU (head unit) to properly interface w/ the car. that's the 1998+ Honda harness or Lucid's harness.

you need to get power to your two amps in the trunk...
those are all the different power wiring options i listed. the one i recommended should suit you well.

you need to get the HU's CD/radio output signal to the amplifiers, so they can amplify it...
those are the RCA interconnects that i listed. generally the uber expensive ones don't benefit you a whole lot, but a good set w/ shielding is what you want.

and finally - you need speaker wire to get the amplifier's output back to the speakers.
that's the sub wire (12 ga) and the speaker wire (16 ga) that i mentioned... you'll need enough of this to get from the amps to the speakers.

who's doing your install again?

Oh crap.....

I forgot you are getting the DCI. Yea the DCI comes with a harness, so forget what I said about Circuit City, just use that one.
