Default Passport 8500 - looking for DIY hard wire ink

Gang -- I have a Passport 8500 and the direct wire Smart Cord accessory. Can anyone direct me to a good DIY link for doing the hardwire install on the S2000?

Also, I am still using the supplied suction cups/visor mount so far, but would like a more permanent method. Where are people mounting/attaching their 8500's?

Thanks!!!

(PS sorry the search engine function seems to be down, here anyways).

Thanks .... but I bought the direct wire from Escort already, and am looking for some S2000 specific install info. Have you installed yours yet?
