Ok, most people will say that they picked up a Valentine1 because it was about $100 more and the arrows and bogey counter made up for that.

I have the opportunity to pick up a brand new Passport 8500 for $200, which would be a savings of $200 over the Valentine1.

For those who have both or who have the Valentine1, would you have changed your mind and bought the Passport 8500 if you could get it for half the price of the Valentine1?

I'm still debating on these two detectors and it seems like the arrows and bogey counter help, but i'm not too sure if that is worth $200...

i got my 8500 for $245 to my doorstep. i think it was well worth the $150 i saved for the arrows. the 8500 has a superior bogey counter to the V1, if you turn on expert mode. (the only time i've ever heard of people getting the 8500 for $200 have been people who have wholesale contacts. $245 is the best price i've ever seen legitimately.)

Well if this is any use to anyone, that would be cool 'cause I like to be useful:

Here is where I got my 8500. It's listed at $245, but shipping charges do apply. It's a shop from HALF, at E-bay.

I got my passport & it is in great condition as promised.

Condition: Brand New
Seller's Comments: Brand new. Never opened. Sealed from the factory. Comes with everything listed on Escort's website.

(I might get it tuned though).

"once you live with the arrows, you'll wonder how you ever lived without them"literally! I no longer wonder is that still that Food Lion or is it a cop... Def worth the extra money for peace of mind.
