That blackvue looks like what im looking for. I'm seeing quite a few places where people really like the HD version, not seeing much on the regular/cheaper version.

Thanks OldDog. Do you have any experience with it?

No I have no experience with it I'm just serching for a dash cam like you. I think I'm going with the Blackvue HD with the hardwire install kit I've read good reviews on it.

i like this idea, the Blackvue HD does look like answer, i even can see hooking it up to a alarm and when alarm triggered turns on camera to see whats going on.

Are you sure that the Ebay one that you posted is real Black VUE as Price is kinda low.

It has a motion and shock sensor so if anyone walks up to your car it automatically starts to record before your alarm gos off, wouldn't help though if somebody stole it lol.

I bought the HD version for $243 http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-BlackVue...item2567bcfdf9, the one I posted is a non HD version.
