yes don't get them. Phoenix gold used to be amazingly good, then they got bought out and turned to shit. I suggest the New alpine Type R's , or JL XR series. If your looking for something a little different Diamond audio pro series

Have you had these speakers before or are you just speaking from hearsay? thats odd cuz I've searched a couple car audio forums and everyone on there loves them.

Its too late. I already bought em. Let ya know how I like them.

I used to sell phoenix gold awhile back , after they got bought out by the other company I dumped they're line and picked up another
