Awesome. Do you think an 8" sub would be able to fit in there without having to cut the lid, and still have room in the normal console?

8 mite b pushing but def worth try. I used 6.5 cause lid closes and u can still use deflector

Yeah I could just take the wind screen off and chop into the lid to mount an 8" one, but I don't want to get rid of the wind screen and want a clean look. I have a 12" sub in the trunk but I would like just a little extra in the cabin, and feel like the 6.5 would barely even be noticable since it is all enclosed and everything. Also I wonder if you will have any problems with the sub hitting the lid when it is bumping.

I'll just wait for your test .

Its sealed. Should hit tight and clean. And of course its btween the seats. My amp is only thing in trunk and thats not taking any room. Standby 4 further pics and sound test result

oh i see, so you built an FG enclosure to fit the compartment?

what's the volume of the enclosure and how deep is your sub?

I would think the sub will just rattle the secret compartment cover as it was never designed to have a speaker inside it. However, the idea is great and I look forward to the results.
