looks beautiful. I woulda gone lower though and maybe outward like in front on your inspection sticker. (which is on the lower left in NJ)

thats just me though. Very innovative i personally really like it. seems like maybe a new mounting solution for the VAFC too. good work
I couldn't go lower as there is a snap mount in place, I put the GPS right above that snap mount. ALso, below the snap mount is the window defroster air duct. While I could have just put the GPS there, I really didn't want to affect any stock functionality.

Amazing!! I think that is a great setup without having to mess with any stock parts that can get expensive if you do it wrong. Me likey alot! Let me know when that group buy is on. Good luck with the finish project.

I dont think I'll be making any more of these. When first diving into the project my main purpose was to show that it can be done rather than mass producing it. It takes me about 5-6 hours of just working with the fiberglass and filler before getting the final shape. All the fumes, dust, sweat, etc is really not worth it. Also, if I was to price it out, it takes $60 to make the bezel, 10 hours to completion, plus the nav. So I anticipate the price to be about

$60 + [10 * hourly rate] + [TomTom one $299 retail] = ???

If we were generous and set the hourly rate at $25, it'll be over $600 if the original a-pillar is provided.

So, what about the people who wanted to make one too? If these people do exists, I dont mind posting the dimensions for the bezel so you can have your own cut OR possible modify it to hold another GPS brand. I also have two aluminum bezels left if anyone wanted to experiment further. When the project is completed I will post materialized used and a much better DIY so it'll be easy to follow.
