I'm looking into getting Pinky's Dash Controls and was wondering how reliable and user friendly is the install for those of you who has it. Thanks~

While I decided to do my own install, if you don't feel like the "installation type", I do recommend going with Pinky's setup. He wires the entire harness (you have to either ship him your harness or buy the stereo from him) with the SWI-3 and mute circuit. Installation is merely plug-and-play after that...

If you would like referrals im sure I could dig up a few.

Once setup and working/programmed it runs virtually the same as your factory controls with a slight longer reaction time. About the time it takes to fully depress the button vs. a ultra fast jab at the button.

I have had mine working for over a year and it works GREAT!
Very user friendly install.

Very Happy cusomer of Pinky's - Got the Sony MP3 deck, all functions work flawlessly, and install was a snap, even though I've never done any real stereo stuff.

I've had Pinky's Audio Control for about 8 months and am very happy with it. Works well.

You will notice some differences in response compared to your stock head unit but these are related more to your new head units IR interface than the PAC box. As an example, the volume controls don't respond as quickly on my Sony head unit as they did on the stock head. Also, I have to hold the Mode button for about a half second or the signal isn't recognised by the head unit. I reiterate, this is more a function of the head unit than the PAC.

Pinky's wiring and workmanship is first rate. It was a doddle to install (that means easy BTW ) and has been totally reliable.
