pioneer and dci help
Hi all
i purchased a IR dci to use with my new pioneer dehp6050ub head unit. i have wired it all up using modifry's adapter (and dci) however when i went to hook it all up, all that works is the mute button (wired in mute).
the mute button also works no matter what setting the dip switches are set to, even if they are set all down or all up.
i checked the modifry site and he says it could be a wiring problem or the IR emitter is not aimed correctly. i have double checked all the wires and they seem to be fine. also going through my manual i cannot find where the IR receiver is on my head unit, nor can i find what time of remote it uses (on the back is says CXC9113, could this be it?)

ok ive established that the ir emitter is working as i can see a pink light when i press the button (as viewed through a digital camera).
im assuming now that either the emitted wavelength is incorrect? or i have not located the IR receiver properly. any ideas?
mute is still the only thing that works properly

woot got it working! at long last. found the IR receiver however that was not hte problem.
the problem was i had to set the IR dip switch setting to a Blaukpunt one (instead of pioneer, even though my headunit is pioneer).
very odd. also for those out there who may also be having this problem, changes to the dip switches requires the ignition to be turned off and back on.
