Hi All,

First post, so bare with me

I have just installed a new HU (DEH-P80MP) into my 01 (51-plate) S2000. I now have some questions...

• Is there a way to remove the inside of the drop-down door hiding the HU? The large button on the HU juts out just slightly too far.

• I cannot see any obvious tweeters in my dash - does this mean I have co-ax speakers?

• I only have the 2 speakers in the doors. I've tried telling the HU this, but it only gives me rear options for a sub or full speakers. Suggestions?

• My bass & mid-range are OK, but there is a huge amount of tinny hiss - especially with lyrics like 'this sensible seat is subsistent' (OK, I made the lyrics up). I've tried turning down the treble but this makes no difference.

where did you get it installed?
i installed mine myself, and it fits perfect.

Installed it myself. Can you close the 'door' on yours without engaging the large control knob then?

I bought the recommended Autoleads harness (PC2-68-4) and the only extra I needed to do was connect the yellow 'Battery' lead up.

Are you running yours on 40W or 60W?

Having run the stereo on the flat EQ there is definitely something amiss.

did you install the radio with the factory brackets?

im currently running on 60W mode right now....

 

i have enough room between the door and the radio..

btw... did you use any dash interface kit?

do you have pic of the radio installed?
