Default Planning to do my audio install soon ...

I have been planning my S2000 custom audio install... and need some
advices from the experts here. I plan to do the install myself (with a friend) and I have
basic audio install knowledge and just need some advice on some tips as
I have never install any aduio stuff on a S2000 except for a headunit and the speakers on the doors.

Here's what I have already purchased:

Amp (for speakers) : PPI Art Series 300.2
Amp (for sub): PPI Art Series 600.2
CrossOver: PPI Art Series FRX-456

Bleow is a picture of the 2 AMPs and CrossOver I got:

Sub: Single 10" JL W-6 (older gen)

I want the 10" Sub to sit in placement of the toolbox. I want a fiberglass box,
is that something I can do myself? I have never build anything fiberglass before.

Need some advices...

What gague power wire?
What RCA cables?
What speaker wires?
What headunit?
What fuse box?
What dist. block?

Brand name wise, I like Alpine, Pioneer, Sony, MonsterCables...etc.

I don't need super high-end stuff, just something decent so I have some nice sound. I plan
to spend around $500 in parts (headunit + all the wires/fuse) for the above stuff. Is it realistic?

-I want to buy MB Quart door speakers with tweeters. Would that go with the
300.2 PPI that I have?

-Would the 600.2 be good enough (or overkill) for the single 10" W6 I plan to use?

If you haven't looked at it already, read this thread:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=248785

and if you have, make sure you read all of the responses, the author (darkknight1999) discusses some specific part selections further along into the thread. Good luck with your setup.

A fiberglass box is very hard (no matter what anyone tells you) for a beginner. its a lot of sanding, a lot of patience, a lot of work, a lot of waiting...etc.

Those amps are great....we have a sticky on the top of the electronics section on...

running wires
making speaker baskets
where to get stuff

Also, just PM me if you want my number, and Ill be glad to walk you through whatever you need.

All wiring purchse from KNUKONCEPTZ.com
Buy the most expensive RCAs and Speaker wire that is available on the site...trust me.

Power wire....4 gauge
power wire 8gauge
Ground wire 4 gauge
Speaker wire 12 gauge (25 feet)
Speaker wire 8 or 10 gauge (15 feet)
headunit - i vote for alpine whatever
distribution block - any if fine, but you might want one with a voltmeter on it. (also available on knukonceptz)

now, unless you are getting the MBQuart QSDs, dont get them. The Bostons or infinities (focals are out of your price range most likely) Alpine SPX.....are a much better chouce, and everone knows what i pick.

Also, 500 bucks on headunit and wiring is doable.

(fuse block and distribution block are the same things.)
