I am installing door speakers - they are components - I am hooking up the incoming power to the crossover from the speaker wires formaly going to the main speaker and the outcoming wires (from the crossover) to the new tweater and new main.

Will I have the correct setup?
Do I need to cut the old tweater plug somwhere along the line or can I just leave it (maybe tape it off)?

Any help would be appreciated
and if its fast that much better

Yes, your setup is good. the factory tweeter wire unplugs. just unplug it and leave it.
