Any experiences with these babies? I am looking for a good set of speakers and right now I am leaning on the infinity kappa perfects 6.1. I just ran across the Polks today and was wondering how does it stand against the infinity. Any inputs?

Thanks,

hey how you doin, i got the POLK/MOMO in my stook they sound incredable. their is no way in hell the MM465 will fit in the stook(already tried it)but the MM455 will fit barely. i am very happy with it sounds very clear and crisp. normaly polk will sound more bassy than crisp but this is an exeption. now i am working on a very expensive custom sub for my car. i am going with the polk/momo 12" sub that when is done i will put pics and it should be the best looking custom sub around.(s2000 category i mean. i recomend either alpine or rockford fosgate amps for this speakers.

Did the MM455 fit perfectly or you have to customize it? Please let me know how you did it. I might end up buying a speaker in two days. I am planning to doing a weekend project to fix the squeak on my door too.

Let me know and thanks for your response.

It is really down the wire between the Kappa Perfects and the Polk/MOMOs.

Why is it that the MM465's wouldn't fit? Were they too deep, too big around, etc.? I am just curious because I purchased a pair, but my car is not coming in until July. Please let me know.

I haven't heard those particular speakers, but I have heard lots of Polks, and I like most of them. Polk is a good company. I find those Momos to be way overpriced for what they are (no offense to anyone of course), but... they do look kinda neat.

hey guys to answer your questions, there is no big custumize job you have to do for the MM455, you just take off the stock speaker basket, no big deal. The MM465 are too deep it will go right through the glass. seriuosy get them amazing sound. when you really listen to them you get to notice how good the sound is. i really notice it at night driving home beautiful sound. a couple of other reason i bought it nobody and i mean nobody hat i know got them you be unique like your stook and also the red tweeter matches beautiful with my interior. to tell you the truth i didnt expect this kind of sound. by the way i bought mine at circuit city if you buy it from there get the extended warranty. i blew the speakers(the amp got some juice)and they are replacing them with brand spakin new ones. if i didnt get it i would be short $550. no question get a amp the ones i recommended before are great.
